This book might be titled STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) MOMS, but I’m positive Cassie’s advice and the 20+ worksheets inside would be helpful for anyone who wants to get in the driver seat of their life.
I connected with author Cassie Leonard, ACC at the Society of Women Engineers conference in 2023 and within the same week signed up for her group coaching AND devoured her book.
As I worked through the book, I realized that after 10 years in the corporate world, the normal for me was not the authentic me. I could point out many areas in my life (my dress, my talk, my career moves, my connections, my work life balance, my PTO usage…) that had been modeled from the examples of many of my male counterparts. While I do admire and look up to many of them, I also realize the value and need for me to be myself- not just for me, but for those who’ve come before me, who are with me in it now, and those who will come after.
I’ve loved challenging myself in 2024 to be more authentic, and honestly, I’ve gained a lot of confidence in doing so. There is freedom in being genuinely yourself in every moment, in every area of your life.
